Background: I received my Ph.D. in Gastroenterology from Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary in 2011. I am a molecular biologist with expertise in genome editing, epigenetics, gene regulation, nuclear receptor biology and genomic data integration. I have experience as well in biomarker discovery, 3D digital microscopy and single cell analytics.
Research Interests/Projects: The focus of my research is to apply genome and epigenome perturbation and editing tools to reveal therapeutic vulnerabilities in colon cancer. I am developing novel platforms to discovery drug compounds that target these vulnerabilities. My ultimate goal is to advance our understanding of mechanisms which can be effectively targeted to cure colon cancer. You can find my publications here. Life Balance: I like classical music (Liszt, Chopin) and Jazz (Corea, Brubeck, Camilo, Petrucciani). In my free time, I am practicing yoga and meditation to achieve a balanced mind set and love cooking and discover new tastes to boost my energy. I frequently like to combine these in the company of good friends. |
