Background: I was born and raised in Hyderabad, India, and have also spent significant time in Boston, USA. I earned my bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Chemistry, and Genetics from Loyola Academy in Hyderabad, India. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in bioinformatics at Northeastern University, class of 2025, with a concentration in Omics. Throughout my academic journey, I have cultivated a profound interest in cancer biology and neuroscience. I embarked on my journey as a graduate researcher in the Sethi Lab in the summer of 2024. In the long term, I aspire to forge a career in cancer research or neuroscience, with the ultimate goal of becoming a dedicated scientist.
Research Interests/Projects: In the immediate future, I had collaborated with Nilay and other researchers in the lab to analyze the modeling of SOX9 and its interactions with other complexes. My enthusiasm lies in exploring these interactions computationally through protein modeling, simulations, and biology approaches. By unraveling these molecular mechanisms, I aim to contribute to drug discovery efforts. I am immensely excited and grateful for the opportunity to engage in such a clinically significant and scientifically pioneering endeavor at the Sethi Lab. Fun Facts and Interests: I have a diverse array of hobbies, including biking, volleyball, jogging, playing board games, and cooking. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I am eager to explore and experience as many restaurants as possible! I am also a passionate music enthusiast. One of my favorite activities is meeting new people and engaging in meaningful, deep conversations. During my bachelor’s, I served as the Event Head for the Magic Youth Club and participated in various volunteering activities. Contact: [email protected] |
