Background: I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea until the age of 10, then moved to Southern California which is what I now call home. I am an undergraduate student at Wellesley College Class of 2025 majoring in Data Science with a concentration in bioinformatics, and I am considering a potential minor in music. My interest in cancer research lies in cancer genetic development pathways and early detection technologies through genetic sequencing and informatics. I joined the Sethi Lab in Spring 2023 to pursue these interests, and my long term goal is to practice as a physician scientist with a MD-PhD degree. 

Research Interests/Projects: In the Sethi Lab, I will be a working as a hybrid researcher between experimental and computational biology, working with mouse models and performing computational analysis on the gathered data. 

Fun Facts and Interests: For my activities, I am a skilled jump-roper and I will be joining the Wellesley equestrian team in the fall! I am also a DJ with WZLY 91.5FM radio, part of the Korean Student Association, and a volunteer for the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program. In my free time, I like to do casual fantasy reading, watch k-dramas with my roommate, and make milk tea!
